(ANSA) - BRAZIL, APRIL 12 - Still tensions in Brazil between executive power and judiciary power in view of the presidential elections on October 2: the right-wing president, JairBolsonaro, has accused Supreme Court judge EdsonFachin, in the meantime appointed as head of the Higher Electoral Court , of wanting to favor the election of his opponent, the former left-wing president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Commenting on the cancellation by the Stf of the bribery convictions against Lula, which made him eligible again, the former army captain called the judges' decision "incomprehensible".
"Fachin, who chairs the TSE, overturned three sentences of Lulae Lula is in fact back. In my opinion, if it depended on Fachin, or on Fachin's vote, Lula will be president of the Republic" said Bolsonaro, who is recovering on Lula (still in the lead ) in polls on voting intentions.
