Achille Lauro

with his unique personality inspired a cocktail.

It is the

Bam Bam Twist,

the drink inspired by one of the musician's revelation songs created by

Giuseppe Pilosi,

Head Bartender of

Canapé Milano

.

"Malandrino" as Achille Lauro would say, with evocative notes of the 60s and in which the pure character of vodka is enhanced by the citrus notes of lemon and the sweet ones of black cherry, balanced by the acidity of the kefir and the freshness of the cedar.

Designed to replace the dessert, it is almost a cheesecake to be tasted in sips.

Here is the recipe to make it yourself:

45 ml of Vodka Belvedere

20 ml sour cherry syrup

22.5 ml kefir

15 ml fresh filtered lemon juice

15 ml sugar syrup

Top: citron

Technique: shake & strain

Glass: tall tumbler

Garnish: lemon zest

Preparation technique: Pour into a shaker all the ingredients.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Serve on the rocks.

Garnish with lemon zest.

The cocktail until 1 June exclusively in the Brera restaurant (which launched light hemp in catering in Milan) was presented on 7 April in the Belvedere Vodka Night, the first major Milanese event after the closures due to the pandemic, with 100 guests from world of entertainment and fashion, from Belen Rodriguez to Tomaso Trussardi, from Anna Dello Russo to Eleonora Carisi model, stylist, influencer and actress.

The notes of Achille Lauro were the highlight of the event preceded by a tasting of cocktails made for the occasion in pairing with the menu with fresh seasonal ingredients and at KM0 curated by the kitchen of

T'a Milano

, the new restaurant reality of the brothers Alemagna, made by chef

Mauro Baggio

.

Freshness and seasonality of raw materials, refinement and

low alcohol content

also guided the expert mixologist and brand ambassador in Italy,

Elena Airaghi

in the signature drinklist with a reinterpretation of great classics and strong inspiration for the concept of responsible drinking, on which Polish luxury vodka is increasingly targeting.

Shake it

(vodka, Italian aperitif, lime and cedar water) paired with chicory and artichoke salad and tuna sashimi with agretti and mandarin,

Zaffiro Bluette

(Belvedere Vodka Sour flavored with saffron) paired with paccheri with burrata and red shrimp Mazara and

Non It's a drink

(in which the vodka is mixed with Earl Gray tea, lemon and bergamot) to accompany the turbot with asparagus.

The event wanted to be the forerunner of a

new trend: highly sustainable, ethical glam party with an idea of responsible drinking

.

"You can be trendy in a 100% sustainable and ethical way - says Flavia Di Giustino, Senior Brand Manager of the Distillates portfolio of the Moët Hennessy Italia group - to the glamorous soul linked to celebrities, fashion and the world of the night, thanks to a exclusive partnership with an Italian super star like Achille Lauro, we have combined the qualitative quality of food and signature cocktail menu and sustainability with 100% plastic free, a rare thing for events and on which instead we must increasingly address ourselves despite the many complications and Zero Waste as all food surpluses have been redistributed to

Banco Alimentare

thanks to the collaboration in social support with the

Food for Good

(F4G) project ".

Ready to drink and the boom of low alcohol content with vodka, the trend of the new spritz In the sector while

the ready to drink

continues unstoppable (with the pandemic as a flywheel)

many premium vodka brands are launching their first canned products focusing on spritzer.

Spritz itself has become a fluid term in recent years.

Once referring to a combination of fizzy sodas or sparkling water with wine or vodka, it has been adopted by brands like Aperol and Campari for the popular soda, prosecco, and bitter aperitif drink.

In the wake of this success in recent years, other brands, and bars, have adopted the name for their wine, water and spirits services.

And

hard seltzer

is an established trend: fizzy drinks

slightly alcoholic and flavored

with fruit, spices or other ingredients: a kind of soft drink for adults.

Within this segment,

the IWSR report of April 2022

attests , vodka and tequila bases are dominant in the American market, together accounting for more than 50% of new spirits launched in ready-to-drink cans.

To take advantage of this trend, some of the biggest vodka brands have chosen the name "spritz" for their combinations of sparkling water, liqueur and fruit flavors.

Ketel One

was one of the first to offer a ready-to-drink spritz with the launch of its canned range of botanical vodka spritzes in September 2020. Then followed by other launches from Cîroc, Gray Goose and Svedka, with a similar goal: to provide summer refreshments Guilt-free, portable and easy, when large-scale outdoor events return and consumers are looking to make the most of their first summer with significantly fewer restrictions.

In a notable change from what has happened before, however, the whole new wave of products puts flavor first, offering combinations of tropical trend, tea and fruit, still at a low alcohol content.

With them, brands hope to exploit the

atmosphere of cautious hedonism - coupled with ongoing trends in health and wellness - that seem to define summer.

Diageo and brand partner Sean "Diddy" Combs, for example, have launched the brand's first RTD line, Ciroc Vodka Spritz with four flavors Watermelon Kiwi, Sunset Citrus, Pineapple Passion and Colada.

Constellation Brands has launched a line of vodka and tea-based cans under the Svedka brand.

The Tea Spritz line is described as an alcohol-based hard seltzer and combines real tea, sparkling water and natural tropical fruit flavors and includes three variations;

Orange Mango, Pineapple Guava - both include turmeric - and Raspberry Kiwi.
