The legendary Cologne football mascot Hennes has given birth to two boys for the first time.
The two little goats were born on March 24th and 26th, the Cologne Zoo announced.
They have different mothers: one young comes from the goat lady Ilse, one from Marie-Luise.
The zoo describes the women's duo as "Hennes' partners".
Hennes IX, as he is called in full, lives in a spacious home in the zoo.
The two mini bucks don't have names yet.
According to the zoo, the billy goat only fathered daughters until the birth of the two.
Almost as holy as the cathedral
Hennes is considered one of the most well-known mascots in German sport, also because, unlike many of his competitors, he does not have to wear costumes for his performances.
Since 1950 he has accompanied the association - in various incarnations - and is considered almost as holy as the cathedral in Cologne.
The Ur-Hennes was once given to 1. FC Köln at a carnival session.
Many a FC buck was not necessarily considered a lucky charm - such as Hennes VII, who was also called "Elevator Hennes" because he had to experience four descents and ascents.
The ninth Hennes is currently in office.
Things are going very well with him in terms of sport.
1. FC Köln is in eighth place with coach Steffen Baumgart.
With five games left, the three-time German champion still has a theoretical chance of qualifying for the Europa League.
