(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 14 - Two Italian films in competition for the Palma d'oro, a world premiere in Cannes Premiere: currently the Italian participation in the Cannes Film Festival (May 17-28) announced in Paris by the delegate Thierry Fremaux with the outgoing president Pierre Lescure.
The selection is not complete, as well as the jury which has not been announced at all and therefore the Italian team could expand.
In the competition there are: Nostalgia by Mario Martone based on the novel of the same name by Ermanno Rea, shot in the Sanità district with Pierfrancesco Favino and Francesco Di Leva and Les Amandiers by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi on his 80s in Paris at the theater school of Patrick Chereau (in majority co-production with France).
External Night, the TV series by Marco Bellocchio,
on the Moro kidnapping will instead be presented in the non-competitive Premiere section.
