(ANSA) - LODI, APRIL 15 - The Public Prosecutor's Office of Lodi has asked for 14 indictments for the railway disaster of February 6, 2020 in Livraga, in the Lodi area.
That day, in the bundle of a Frecciarossa 9595, two machinists died and 10 passengers were injured.
The 14 indictments requested by the Prosecutor's Office are part of the inquisitors originally registered in the register of suspects.
The public prosecutor Domenico Chiaro, in dismissing the positions of Rfi and Alstom Ferroviaria in relation to the Livraga railway accident of 6 February 2020, accepted, following the investigations, the defensive thesis based on the recent orientation of the Supreme Court according to which, in the event of accidents railway, it is always necessary to distinguish the violations of the accident prevention regulations from those of the norms placed to protect transport safety.
Instead, as regards the suspects for whom the remand for trial was requested, the Prosecutor explained that the crimes for which the request was forwarded - culpable railway accident, double manslaughter and multiple culpable injuries -,
they are the result of accusatory perspectives whose foundation will be considered definitively ascertained only upon the outcome of the judicial checks.
