Meteorological scenario destined to change throughout Italy over the course of the week due to the arrival of an Atlantic perturbation which will, among other things, bring rain back to the northern regions, after a long dry period.

These are the predictions of Antonio Sanò, director and founder of the site www.iLMeteo.it.

Sunny Easter Monday in the North, good weather in the center and in the South, the latest rains in Calabria, then it gets better and more sun elsewhere.

Drier and more stable Tuesday for everyone but Wednesday 20 April an Atlantic disturbance - reports Sanò - will make its entrance into Western Europe, getting closer and closer to Italy, with the first rains affecting the extreme Northwest and at the same time starting to wet Sardinia.

Worsening, however, starting from Thursday 21 April with a cyclonic vortex on the Tyrrhenian Sea that will move towards Central Italy, triggering a wave of rather heavy bad weather affecting Sardinia and gradually the rest of the Center and the North.

Not to be excluded, says Sanò, "particularly intense events, such as thunderstorms and hailstorms, alternating with more sunny pauses".

On Friday 22 the disturbance will pass through all the regions, freeing Italy from the rains in the evening.

In perspective, "a new Atlantic disturbance is expected for the days of the 25 April bridge".

Due to the incoming cold air, temperatures are expected to drop drastically with the return of snowfall over the Alps, sometimes even abundant, with flakes above 1600 meters of altitude.

Sprinkles of snow are also expected on the central Apennine ridge.
