From the Palais Garnier for an exceptional gala to an arty vernissage at the Palais de Tokyo, or even during a literary evening at the Closerie des Lilas, the opportunities to celebrate the return of spring are multiplying in Paris. Back in pictures.

Beautiful night, oh night of love

During an exceptional gala, Renée Fleming was the guest star of the Paris Opera.

The American diva, nicknamed "Double cream" for her voluptuous timbre with a thousand shades, dressed by the Chanel Haute Couture house, offered that evening, at the Palais Garnier, a real moment of grace for lovers of lyrical art.

The director Robert Carsen, with the orchestra of the Paris Opera under the direction of James Conlon, concocted for the event a program worthy of the immense soprano.

The profits from the performance and the dinner served in the Foyers were donated to Arop activities.

Another highlight of the evening was the exceptional participation of artists such as Lambert Wilson, reciting Baudelaire and Shakespeare, or the stars Stéphane Bullion and Hugo Marchand.

Without forgetting Renaud Capuçon, enchanting master of the violin, who notably closed the concert with Strauss'

Morgen

in style, in a memorable duet with the diva.

Poetry and sharing were well and truly there.

Carte Blanche at the Palais de Tokyo

A new arty era for the Ruinart house which unveiled at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the reinterpretation of its history and its know-how by the Danish artist Jeppe Hein.

Under the watchful eye of many personalities from art and cinema: Isabelle Huppert, Céline Sallette, Anna Mouglalis, Bertrand Bonello, the star Dorothée Gilbert or Djanis Bouzyani... The champagne house presented

Récits de Champagne,

a participatory installation that appeals to the five senses – touch, hearing, sight, smell and taste – and summons the four elements:

earth/soil, water/rain, air/ wind and fire/sun, essential to wine making.

The participants were then invited to live their own sensory experience by tasting the grapes, by touching the wet chalk of chalk pits, or by smelling the flower of Chardonnay.

Ruinart, by giving carte blanche to Jeppe Hein, summoned all the senses that evening, not forgetting that of the party.

Literature celebrated

Supporting and highlighting quality women's literature has been the mission of the Prix de La Closerie des Lilas and its founders (including Emmanuelle de Boysson, Adélaïde de Clermont-Tonnerre and Tatiana de Rosnay) for 15 years.

For this special anniversary edition, the jury was chaired by Laure Adler, surrounded by strong personalities such as Sarah Biasini, Salomé Lelouch or Laura Smet.

This Tuesday, April 12, these women from the world of literature, the arts, the press and politics elected

Les Silences d'Ogliano

(Actes Sud), the novel by Elena Piacentini.

As a reward, the winner will be the privileged guest of the famous institution of the 6th arrondissement in Paris for one year, and the house of Montblanc, partner of the event since its creation, offered her an exceptional fountain pen.
