The developers of Google Chrome draw attention to the fact that two security vulnerabilities have been fixed with the latest update of the browser (version 100.0.4896.127).
A vulnerability affecting the JavaScript Engine V8 software is classified as particularly dangerous.
In view of the increasing risk of hacker attacks on private individuals as well, the danger posed to consumers by the security gaps must be taken seriously.
According to the post, exploit code for the vulnerability is already circulating on the web.
This means that there is a relatively high probability that hackers are already exploiting the vulnerability.
Based on the report from Google Chrome, it can be assumed that attackers can use the vulnerability to trigger an error in the device memory, through which malware can get onto the computer.
