The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, discussed with the Director-General of the Arab Center for Studies of Arid Zones and Arid Lands AXA Dr. Nasr El-Din El-Obeid, during their meeting today, the relations of cooperation between the two sides and ways to enhance that.
The meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Education building, included following up on the implementation of the topics of the scientific and technical agreement signed between the two parties, especially the research project on the optimal management of gray water uses in agriculture in arid and semi-arid areas, in addition to discussing the progress of the project that is underway.
Its implementation in Ahmed Al-Qadri school in Damascus countryside. Designing the collecting basin treatment plant in proportion to the place of water use after treatment and starting the implementation of the gray water treatment unit using the confined basin method.
The two sides also reviewed the stages of preparing and completing an encyclopedia of camel breeding and its diseases in the Arab countries within the framework of exchanging scientific and technical expertise in the field of building curricula and progress in the field of cooperation in the development of vocational education, especially modern technologies, and the preparation of documentaries on the application of rainwater harvesting technologies in dry areas.
The two sides discussed the mechanism of preparing short documentaries on the most important experiments, research and modern agricultural machinery and what has been achieved in the field of preparing training bags in the field of water resources management and rainwater harvesting to enable teachers to possess basic skills in this field.
The two sides evaluated the joint work in implementing the environmental garden project at the National Center for Excellence affiliated to the Ministry of Education, which is considered a scientific nucleus for generating knowledge in protecting the ecosystem and developing research and studies in the plant and animal fields.
