Several retailers are offering the PlayStation 5 quietly in stores.
We reveal here which providers might be worth asking.
Actually, it's an indictment that the PlayStation 5 is still sold out almost continuously.
After all, it's been almost two years since Sony's latest console was launched.
But it's still a matter of luck whether you can buy a PS5 or not.
One or the other PlayStation fan is certainly inclined to buy the console at an overpriced price from a scalper.
However, this is not recommended as the situation is slowly improving.
If you're still looking for a PS5, you might be lucky in the store.
Some branches are said to have the console in stock or create waiting lists.

The industry portal GamesWirtschaft has learned from readers which dealers offer the PS5 locally.
It could therefore be worth asking the employees in the following branches

the PlayStation is currently available or will be available again

Of course, this is no guarantee that every branch of these providers will have the PS5 in stock at some point.
But it definitely doesn't hurt to ask.
PS5 shortages: when will things improve?
It is still difficult to predict when the PS5 will be permanently available.
One of the causes of the PS5 shortage is the global shortage of semiconductors, which is slowing down many productions.
However, there is hope that
availability will improve in the coming months

At least Lisa Su, head of chipmaker AMD, was optimistic a while ago.
She assumed that the situation for the availability of semiconductors and thus also of game consoles would improve in the second half of 2022.
It will soon become clear whether that will happen.
