The statements had the effect of an earthquake in the Netherlands last January.
The Dutch public prosecutor's office announced on Monday the opening of a judicial investigation against several suspects to verify allegations of sexual assault which splashed "The Voice Holland".
The flagship music show format has been exported to more than 150 countries.
In January, a program detailing accusations of sexually transgressive behavior and abuse of power within the famous telecrochet shocked the Netherlands.
Covered by a local broadcaster called BOOS - "anger", in French - the event brought to light the first major #MeToo scandal in the country.
"Five people have reported possible criminal offenses against four people in total" around The Voice, the Dutch prosecutor's office said in a statement on Monday.
After evaluating the reports, he therefore decided “to open a new judicial investigation”.
The four people targeted by these reports have been “designated as suspects”, specifies the public ministry.
"A thorough investigation" to be expected
A former candidate had notably accused rapper Ali B, coach on the show, of rape.
He is now the subject of three complaints and continues to deny the allegations, according to Dutch news agency ANP.
Many women had also reported to the show about bullying sexual behavior by the show's group leader, Jeroen Rietbergen.
The latter shared his life with Linda, the sister of the Dutch pope of reality TV, John de Mol.
John de Mol, the 66-year-old billionaire behind the show, admitted to being made aware of inappropriate messages sent to a contestant by Jeroen Rietbergen in 2019 without taking action.
A director as well as the popular Dutch singer Marco Borsato had also been implicated.

“The police will carry out a thorough investigation in the coming period.
To this end, various witnesses and suspects will be heard.
It should take some time, ”says the prosecution.
Many cases linked to transgressive behavior have, since the scandal around "The Voice Holland", been brought to light in the Netherlands, targeting in particular political figures as well as the former director of Ajax Marc Overmars, who was forced to resign.
The original version of the show, whose principle - coaches on swivel chairs choose the candidates after having listened to them sing "blindly", had been suspended in January.
