Policeman:

How are you, sir?

I understand you were in the room when the lady—as someone—was shot?”

Alec Baldwin:

"I was the one holding the gun, yeah."

Policeman:

"Okay.

Alrighty.«

The police of the US state of New Mexico released these bodycam recordings on Monday.

They were shot in October 2021, shortly after actor Alec Baldwin allegedly accidentally shot and killed a camerawoman on the set of the western »Rust«.

Policeman:

"Do you want air rescue?"

Helper on the ground:

"Yes, all of us in one load."

Policeman on radio:

"32 Santa Fe.

A woman shot in the chest.

A man shot in the stomach.

Air rescue request.«

The accident has not yet been fully explained, the police said when the material was published.

What is certain is that a shot from a prop gun went off in Baldwin's hand during filming.

The projectile killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.

Policeman:

"Mr.

Baldwin.

Detective Roy (unintelligible).

Nice to meet you, sir.”

Baldwin:

"Would you like me to come with you?"

Policeman:

"Yes, if we could just talk over there..."

The footage shows how touched Baldwin is by the incident.

Cop:

"Are you okay?"

Baldwin:

"No, to be honest."

The police finally ask the actor to go to the police station for questioning, as does the armorer.

She also looks visibly taken.

Policeman:

"We want to question you and him.

Just to rule out any possibility that a crime happened, ok?

Like I said, you're not 100 percent under arrest."

The state of New Mexico has since fined the Western's production company $137,000.

We're talking about "deliberate" security vulnerabilities.

DNA analysis and ballistics tests are still pending for a possible criminal case against Baldwin or other individuals.

Baldwin has already denied responsibility.

The real ammunition should not have been on the set under labor law.

The bodycam recordings show that he immediately cooperated with the police after the accident.

Baldwin:

“Tell me what to do.

You just tell me what to do.«

And they show the somewhat special hurdles for investigators on a film set.

Policeman:

"I don't know, is that fake blood or real?"

Baldwin:

"Oh, that's fake..."
