The British teenage series "Breathtaking", based on a graphic novel of the same name by Alice Ozman and developed for Netflix, managed to capture the hearts of viewers to the point that they asked producers for a second season.

At the heart of the series, which many have described as the best in years to come from the UK since the "Sin" series, is the love and sexuality story of Charlie and Nick (played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor), two teenage boys experiencing the twists and turns of adolescence The book, the adoption of their sexual identity, acceptance, bride and first loves.

From the moment it aired on the first eight-episode season of Netflix on April 22, viewers flocked to social media as they warmly recommend it and share its praise.

"I just finished watching Netflix 'Breathtaking. God forbid. It's so good. The casting is perfect," a Twitter surfer tweeted with a sigh of relief himself.

"If Netflix wants to maintain its status as a platform, it must give its gay viewers what they want," another surfer wrote, adding: "And what they want is a second season of 'Breathtaking.'"

"I'm just finished watching Breathtaking. '

Another excited surfer said he has not been able to stop crying since he finished watching the series and asked, "Is that why the series is called 'Breathtaking?'".

Another viewer was already much more determined and wrote: "I do not care if I have to pay the heating expenses of Netflix, they will produce a second season."

When Ozman was recently asked in an interview with Digital Spy if there are any plans to produce a second season for the successful series, she replied that she could not confirm anything about her future, but agreed to share what she would like to see in the coming seasons if there were any.

"If additional seasons are indeed produced, I would certainly like to include a discussion of mental illness because it is something that is very important in the books," she said.

"The challenge in writing 'Breathtaking' is to explore all of these gloomy topics while maintaining an optimistic and hopeful tone. It has been my challenge and struggle throughout the writing process. I want to believe it is possible. I feel I have been able to touch on it in books and that is entirely my goal and aspiration for The series. "
