"I do not want to be a public figure," Alec Baldwin said after being left alone in the police interrogation room after the catchy shooting on the set of the Western film Rust. Others related to the inquest into the death of photographer Halina Hutchins, who was killed on the set in October 2021, when a gun, held by actor and producer Baldwin, fired a live bullet during rehearsal.
Baldwin is talking to two women, one of whom is probably his wife, and can be heard saying he is at a police station and asking how his children are.
"I do not want to do this whole thing anymore, I do not I do not want to be a public person," Baldwin said in the conversation.
Alec Baldwin's interview with Sheriff's deputies right after the "Rust" shooting was released today.
The moment he learns Halyna Hutchins died, he gasps, puts his hand over his mouth and sits in stunned silence for many moments.

- Amy Kaufman (@AmyKinLA) April 26, 2022 In the second conversation you can hear Baldwin ask a woman "Where are the kids?". The woman asks if "should we stay away from the eagles here?", And she probably refers to the paparazzi or the press.
Asks Baldwin.
"No, but I imagine they will, at some point they are going to find out," the woman replies. Later Baldwin says, "You have no idea how unbelievable it is and how strange it is." And says she hopes "everyone is fine."

"I've never seen it before"
During the interrogation with the officers, Baldwin says, "We've been doing this for two weeks now and we did it every day the right way. Every day."
He later added: "I've fired enough guns in my life in movies, I've never seen anything like it before." The actor explained to police that he had no idea how a live bullet got to the set.
"It used to be a 'cold gun' (a safe weapon to use) and now it's a puzzle for me." An indictment following the shooting accident on the set has not yet been filed.
Baldwin's lawyers said in response that the actor was credited with the findings of the government ministry, claiming that "he has no authority over the issues raised about the safety violations. We are confident that the factors identified in the report will be held responsible for this tragedy."
