The production company "Warner Brothers" shared today (Wednesday) on Twitter the first pictures of the actress Margo Ruby, from the movie "Barbie" that many are looking forward to.
The photo shows the Australian star smiling as she drives a pink car with a sunroof.
As you can see, the resemblance between her and the iconic doll that has driven boys (okay, girls) around the world crazy for years is considerable.

At a panel held yesterday at the Cinecom Film Festival in Las Vegas, the production company announced that the film is expected to hit theaters on July 21, 2023. At this point little is known about the intriguing project, other than a romantic comedy written by the couple Noa Baumbach and Greta Grevig.
It is also expected to star actors such as Ryan Gosling (who will step into the shoes of Barbie's partner, Ken), America Ferrara, Will Pearl, Michael Sera and others.
In an interview with the British Vogue magazine last year, Margo Ruby said that a film of this kind "comes with a lot of baggage and a lot of nostalgic connections. But at the same time there are a lot of exciting ways to attack the subject. People generally hear 'Barbie' and think 'I know how "This movie is going to show." Then they hear Greta Grevig write and direct it and they think, "Oh. So maybe I do not really know."
Margo refers, presumably, to the fact that in recent decades Barbie's character has become controversial.
This is because some argue that she is not a role model for young girls, and in fact she shapes for them distorted and unrealistic standards of female body perceptions.
