If the EuroMillions prize pool is random, you can easily find your way around the smaller winnings that await you

EuroMillions is a European draw that takes place twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday, around 9 p.m.

Millions of people take part each time all over Europe, which helps to quickly increase the EuroMillions jackpot.

Inevitably, if you try your luck and fill out a grid on the FDJ.fr website or via an FDJ retailer, your objective is very likely to win the jackpot: you are not the only one with the jackpot of several million targeted!

However, we will not deny it: the probability of winning a smaller sum is much greater.

But do you know from how many numbers you refund your bet?

There is an official grid that lets you know approximately how much you can win at EuroMillions with a set number of correct numbers.

What winnings for how many numbers in EuroMillions?

A EuroMillions grid without options costs 2.50 euros.

Interestingly, the minimum EuroMillions win exceeds the amount spent to participate.

Indeed, from two good numbers in the main grid, you win about 4 euros.

If you have two numbers and one star, the theoretical gain is 5.58 euros and if you have a correct number and two stars, it is 6.75 euros.

With three numbers, you can pocket around 9.32 euros.

With three numbers and a star, 11.26 euros, with two numbers and two stars, 14 euros.

With four stars, an average of 39 euros awaits you.

With three numbers and two stars, 57 euros, four numbers and one star, 120 euros, four numbers and two stars, 1299 euros.

If you manage to find the five numbers of the grid, the theoretical gain reaches 20851 euros.

With five numbers and a star, it is approximately 200,738 euros.

Finally, with five numbers and the two stars, you win the prize pool of several million euros.

To summarize, this gives:

  • 2 +0: 4 euros

  • 2 +1: €5.58

  • 1 +2: €6.75

  • 3 +0: €9.32

  • 3 +1: €11.26

  • 2 +2: 14 euro

  • 4 +0: 39 euro

  • 3 +2: 57 euros

  • 4 +1: 120 euro

  • 4 +2: 1299 euro

  • 5 +0: 20851 euros

  • 5 +1: €200,738

  • 5 +2: the prize pool of the moment (several million euros)

It should be noted that if you check the Star+ option, you can increase your theoretical winnings when you find one or two stars in the draw.

This can allow you to win around 4195 additional euros on the highest level, and you can refund your bet as soon as you find a star, even if it is not associated with a good number from the rest of the grid.

What about My Million winnings?

If My Million is indeed a draw associated with the EuroMillions, its operation is completely separate.

Here, there is no question of good or bad numbers within a grid.

When you validate a EuroMillions grid, FDJ automatically gives you a code made up of two letters and seven numbers.

Before each EuroMillions draw, a My Million draw is made: it allows a single French participant to win the sum of one million euros.

Don't forget to check the code after each draw.
