French police arrested a suspect for the street assault last November against Paris Saint-German footballer Kheira Hamraoui.
The former Barcelona was hit in the legs with an iron bar as she returned from a dinner with two hooded men and she was out of the fields for two long months.
It was a case that upset the Parisian club and the French public opinion itself seen, Aminata Diallo, also a PSG player and companion of Hamraoui, was suspected of being the instigator of the aggression for an alleged rivalry in the team where both run for the same role as a midfield: detained for hours by the police and interrogated for her alleged involvement, she has always denied the accusations.
A source close to the case revealed that the man arrested was a "friend" of Aminata Diallo who was arrested at the time and then released.
Police believe the arrested suspect, described as "known to the police", may have played a role in the assault.
According to reports, Hamraoui's relationship with many of her teammates has deteriorated because they blame her for Diallo's arrest.
And last Saturday, according to a source close to the club, a new fight occurred during the training of the women's PSG between several players and Hamraoui.
Hamraoui was not on PSG's squad for the Champions League semi-final first leg against Lyon on Sunday and will not join the club's training this week or play the second leg on Saturday.
Last month, Hamraoui's lawyer, Said Harir, wrote to PSG to denounce "a campaign of harassment and denigration".
