US President Joe Biden will announce today the confiscation of the assets of the Russian oligarchs.
This was reported by the White House in a note.
"In concert with his request to Congress for new aid for Kiev, President Biden will send a proposal for a legislative package for the confiscation of the oligarchs' assets that will allow the government to use the proceeds to support Ukraine," the read.
Biden will speak at 10.45 am local time (4.45 pm in Italy) about "supporting the Ukrainians in defending their country and their freedom against Russia's brutal war".
