Do not build there on shopping or nightlife, but only on the turquoise sea

It's getting warmer in the world and people are flying like there was no Corona - so we jumped in to check out three luxury hotels in ... the Seychelles.

Six hours of direct flight from Israel brought us to a turquoise sea, infinity pools, scuba diving, giant deer, insane sunsets and especially pampering at the highest level

Seychelles, paradise within touching distance (Photo and editing: Yardena Abodi Fox)

Coconut trees, white sand, clear water, the most beautiful beaches in the world, pampering resorts - a six-hour flight from Israel brought him to a paradise called the Seychelles.

Already in the air, just before landing on the main island of Mahé, the breath is taken away.

The sight before us is a chain of islands and endless white beaches.

Then we landed, and unlike the urban airports we are used to seeing in the world, when departing at the Seychelles International Airport you see nature in all its glory - a green and endless jungle.

And this is just a first taste, because in the week we were in the island state we saw so many natural phenomena, animals and pristine landscapes that the eyes and heart have a hard time containing.

The Seychelles are actually an archipelago of 115 islands, of which only 33 islands are inhabited.

The capital Victoria is located on the main island, Mahe, and so is most of the island's population.

Most of the islands are made up of coral islands and serve as nature reserves and dive sites.

The islands are safe for tourists and the atmosphere is smiling and pleasant.

Tropical weather all year round, which means it is always hot, but there are more rainy and less rainy seasons.

Do not rely on shopping or nightlife - in the islands it gets dark early around six in the evening, and in the Seychelles you will mainly be offered a good restaurant, fewer bars or clubs.

The hotel is built on 7% of the island's area

We arrived in Seychelles with a direct flight from Air Seychelles, the local airline which operates a line of two weekly flights from Tel Aviv to Maha on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

After a fast overnight flight, a soft landing and a half-hour cruise we arrived at Silhouette Island.

The staff of the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa was already waiting for us at the reception.

The wild and primitive beauty of the island of Silhouette is sinful even to the definition of paradise.

Quiet and stunningly beautiful beaches, inlaid with huge granite boulders.

It is the third largest island in the archipelago.

The Hilton Seychelles Lavries is built on only about seven percent of the island's area and is the only resort in it. The rest of the island is a protected nature reserve of wildlife, tropical forests and dreamy beaches. The villas are built on the shoreline with a huge balcony right on the waterfront and a private piece of shoreline.

Hotel guests can enjoy eight different restaurants serving dinner and lunch, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a beach bar and more.

The hotel has two pools, a luxurious spa, a kids' club and you can rent bicycles with which you can get from place to place in the huge resort.

Other attractions that can be enjoyed at the place are snorkeling, diving and a variety of water activities, but you will not find motorized water sports here so as not to damage the reef.

You can go hiking on the island in all levels of difficulty, the most famous of which is a trek where you pass to the other side of the island, where there is a huge deer farm, which aims to rehabilitate the turtle population on the island that has been almost completely extinct.

Prestigious resort open from the age of 13 only

After two days on the island, we sailed back to Maha Island.

A 15-minute drive to the north of the island took us to the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa.

Unlike the atmosphere of the island "Blueberries", here we arrived at a luxury resort open to guests from the age of 13 only.

This luxurious hotel is located on the shores of a private lagoon.

Wild views from every direction, rocky beaches and coconut trees.

The hotel offers a rich variety of treatments, a beautiful infinity pool and three luxury restaurants, which are definitely an exceptional culinary experience.

The highlight of the hotel are the 56 huge villas, in 20 of which you can also enjoy a private infinity pool, from which you can watch the most beautiful sunsets on the north coast of Seychelles.

Price per night starts at 300 euros and more, depending on the season.

Large balconies overlooking the Indian Ocean

We said goodbye to the Hilton Northholm and headed out towards the southern part of the island of Maha, which is less populated, and the beaches there are even wilder and more pristine.

After an hour's drive we arrived at the prestigious Mango House Seychelles, which is one of the new resorts in Seychelles, and opened last July.

The resort has 41 suites, spacious and well-designed villas, including villas with a private pool.

They all have a panoramic window and large balconies overlooking the spectacular Indian Ocean.

Also on site, two varied luxury restaurants, serving hot (local) Creole food and a beach restaurant that served us very tasty sushi.

In addition, you will find in the resort outdoor pools, two private beaches and its pampering spa "line" of local natural remedies.

From the furniture to the bathrobes, the hotel takes care of local produce, and works with local designers.

It is decorated in a beautiful bohemian style, and will be especially suitable for those who are looking for a vacation that is not only luxurious but also extremely chic.
