France wants to have modern studios

France 2030 is investing 400 million in ten studios to respond to the explosion in the number of film shoots.


The resumption of film shoots and especially the avalanche of orders for French series by major SVOD platforms such as Netflix or Disney+, have literally exploded the demand for the occupation of studios.

Problem, after years of under-investment, French studios are too few, under-equipped, not modern enough and above all they no longer control their land which makes them difficult to profit.

This situation of shortage risks leading major productions to relocate filming to ultramodern British, German and even Italian facilities.
