Generali: 55.9% of the share capital present votes for the list of the outgoing board of directors

For the list presented by the Caltagirone group, 41.73% of the share capital present was expressed. The Generali assembly decided to set the number of members of the new board of directors at 13 for the three-year period 2022-2024. (HANDLE)


The Generali shareholders' meeting voted in favor of the list expressed by the outgoing board of directors with 55.992% of the share capital present at the meeting.

For the list presented by the Caltagirone group, 41.73% of the share capital present was expressed.

1.929% voted for Assogestioni.

The Generali assembly decided to set the number of members of the new board of directors at 13 for the three-year period 2022-2024.

57.715% voted in favor.

The proposal of 15 members presented by the Caltagirone group instead obtained votes equal to 41.64% of the share capital present at the meeting. 

Green light for the remuneration policy and on the remuneration paid by 68.44% of the share capital of Generali.

16.286% voted against and 15.146% abstained.

This was announced by the president Gabriele Galateri during the meeting.

"If we choose the list proposed by the outgoing board of directors, we will continue to pursue sustainable growth and the creation of value for all stakeholders" and "a dividend that grows every year".

This was stated by the CEO of Generali Philip Donnet addressing the shareholders in his speech at the meeting, after having recalled that "For the first time one of the lists was presented by the outgoing board of directors".

"Today we are stronger than before. I am proud of that," he stressed.

"All these goals give us a solid basis to face the challenges that await us", he continued and speaking of the plan "We are already working at full speed since the beginning of this year".

At the Generali shareholders' meeting there is 70.73% of the share capital, equal to 1.122 billion shares.

President Gabriele Galateri said this at the start of the works.
