The former Hamburg neighborhood pimp Josef Peter Nusser, known in scene circles as "Viennese Peter", who was recently arrested again in Frankfurt am Main, is allowed to leave Germany and return to his Austrian homeland.

As the Hamburg public prosecutor's office confirmed to SPIEGEL, there will be no further execution of Nusser's life sentence.

The federal police arrested Nusser on April 3 at the airport in Frankfurt am Main.

He was on his way from the Dominican Republic to Vienna and was noticed during an identity check.

As a result, he was initially taken to the prison in Weiterstadt in Hesse and was to be transferred to Hamburg.

"Wiener Peter" was sentenced to life imprisonment in February 1989 for aggravated robbery, joint murder and incitement and aiding and abetting in murder.

In "Santa Fu" - the Hamburg prison Fuhlsbüttel - he worked in the library and as a bread truck driver, was considered stable and reliable.

Almost 14 years in German prison

After almost 14 years in prison, the former red light giant was released in 2000 and expelled to Austria.

The step was taken in accordance with Section 456a of the Code of Criminal Procedure (»refraining from enforcement in the event of extradition, transfer or expulsion«).

Accordingly, enforcement can be made up for when the convicted person returns.

That happened in Frankfurt am Main at the beginning of April.

The Hamburg public prosecutor's office has now announced that Nusser was allowed to leave the country for various reasons.

Among other things, the decisive factor was that the convict had been in detention for a long time, the time between his extradition and his re-entry was long and he also had no intention of staying in Germany permanently.
