Since the end of the series in 2019, Kit Harington, alias Jon Snow, had had to face “traumatic episodes”, causing him to gradually sink into alcoholism and depression.
Married to actress Leslie Rose, whom he met on the set of the first season, and with whom he had his first child in February 2021, the actor has been sober for almost two years.
Last August, he confided in his descent into hell through a poignant interview given to the
Sunday Times
.
"You get to a point where you feel like a bad person," he said.

His wife had remained rather discreet about her husband's fights.
However, this Thursday, April 28, she agreed to confide for the first time in the columns of
Harper's Bazaar
.
Addressing her relationship with motherhood, Leslie Rose returned to her relationship with Kit Harington, on the birth of their child even though he was still fighting against his demons.
“For Kit, it was very important to recognize himself as an addict,” she explained.
And to continue: “The AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) community has provided him with a space of love so that he feels heard, so that he knows that he is not alone.
But without rehab, he would be in a very different state of mind right now."

Very present for Kit Harrington, Leslie Rose continued: “I learned a lot about addiction and it is something Kit is aware of, but it is up to him if he chooses to drink again.
No nanny can stop him from doing what he has decided to do… I chose not to put this pressure on myself.
He is responsible for his behavior.
It's not up to me to protect him from it, ”she said.
Leslie Rose added that Kit Harrington is fine now.
He has returned to the stage and is currently performing in Henry V at the Donmar Warehouse in London.
