(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 30 - If on the one hand in Italy over 20% of advertisements on radio, TV and print media talk about Sustainability, on the other hand there are still few companies really committed to the issue of sustainable policies.
The data emerged from the research conducted by ConsumerLab and presented during the 2nd edition of the National Congress "Future Respect - sustainable businesses, practices in comparison".
The Consumerlab study center analyzed the financial statements of the 1,915 main companies identified by Mediobanca, in order to understand the real involvement of large companies on the issue of sustainable policies.
The research revealed that 1,230 companies (64.2% of the total) do not present their financial statements and only 52.8% reserve a section of their website for Sustainability.
Of the 345 large banking groups, 60.6% do not present a Sustainability Report, 38.3% do not reserve any space on the web for Sustainability.
Situation that worsens if we analyze the 76 main insurance companies: 72.4% do not present a Sustainability Report, 54% do not reserve any section on Sustainability.
But the black jersey in terms of sustainability - according to Consumerlab research - belongs to the cosmetics and wellness sector: out of 100 companies only 14 publish Sustainability Reports, despite the sector being the one that rides the issue of sustainability in the most unscrupulous way in Italy.
