According to weather forecasts, May will remain mostly dry and could bring summer temperatures of up to 30 degrees.

Kassel – May begins and the weather seems to be playing along for all sun lovers.

The first two days of the new month have already brought the first hours of sunshine - and that's how it should stay for the time being.

"It will be spring-like warm all week long, for Mother's Day, next Sunday, up to 25 degrees are not out of the question.

The merry month couldn't start any nicer," said qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung to the weather portal wetter.net.

Summer in May: Experts speak of almost 30 Gard

Tuesday (03 May)

14 to 20 degrees;

Mostly fine, thunderstorms in the south in the afternoon

Wednesday (04 May)

15 to 22 degrees;

Monday (09 May)

19 to 26 degrees;

Tuesday (May 10)

21 to 28 degrees;

However, the summer weather also brings severe drought with it.

According to the weather portal wetter.net, it should hardly rain in the coming days.

Jung, Managing Director of the Q.met weather service, also spoke of it: “A wet May seems to be out of the question this year.

It smells like a merry month and that's what all the leading weather models say."

According to the US weather agency NOAA, the dry weather should not only continue in May, but also in June.

Summer weather in May: sun and hardly any rain are predicted - but from when?

March 2022 was already very dry and sunny, which is not good for nature.

In particular, the risk of dangerous forest fires increases due to a lack of rain.

According to wetter.net, spring has so far only covered 38 percent of its necessary rain requirements.

If the forecasts come true that it will be up to 30 degrees warm and there will be hardly any rain, the overall balance for spring 2022 will be rather poor.

In a video, meteorologist Jan Schenk sometimes speaks of other developments: According to him, the flow and thus the weather will only change from May 9th.

At the moment Germany is still on the verge of cold air, which leads to severe temperature drops, especially at night.

According to Schenk, the danger of frost and ground frost was not yet over in May.

The so-called Ice Saints come this year between May 11th and 15th.

"Then the current changes and the air comes from the southwest," says Schenk.

From then on, the weather expert speaks of temperatures very similar to those of Jung.

However, he only predicted this from the end of May, which is why it remains exciting when exactly the summer weather will set in.
