Mike Burnett is coming to the museum as part of a new exhibition that will open on May 21 at the Haifa City Museum, under the title "Mike Burnett // Until the Brides of the Body".
The exhibition, curated by Inbar Dror Lex and Yifat Ashkenazi with the advice of Yoav Kutner, was born following the donation of a rare collection by Zvika Brand, Mike's younger brother and his daughter Yona Brand, Mike's niece, to the Haifa City Museum.
Among the exhibits will be rare videos of his performances, rare photos from family albums, clothing details, fan albums, covers of local and international magazines dedicated to him, collectibles, souvenirs, notes and letters in Mike's handwriting and more.

The exhibition will cover all the spaces of the museum, and will present in another light the complex character and turbulent life of Brent, along with the other story of Israel in those years, through the Israeli music and entertainment of those decades.
Brent is still considered one of the most successful Israeli singers of all time and an international-Israeli legend, who during his short career managed to release dozens of hits that conquered the tops of the charts, starred on the covers of hundreds of magazines and performed in front of thousands of fans.
Even 47 years after his tragic death, his records and songs are still sold in many copies in Israel and around the world.
In the local context, it can be said that he has earned a place in the pantheon of the world of Israeli music.
The exhibition reviews the trajectory of his life from his childhood to a second generation of Holocaust survivors in Haifa, through the city where he grew up in the 1950s, his musical development, becoming a superstar in the 1970s, to April 25, 1975, the day he ended his life in Paris at just 28 years old.
Alongside the historical items, the exhibition features works of art, illustrations and posters created especially in response to the collection by the artists Ovadia Benisho, Dave Yaakov, Fogi Naim Malul and Tal Fogel.
In addition, rare videos of his performances in Israel and Europe will be shown, including interviews with Noam Semel, Mike's artistic director and first organizer in Israel, Ariel Zilber, who was part of Mike's warm-up band in Paris, and Liora Ofer, who was part of Mike's backing band.
These interviews, which were held especially for the exhibition, are presented alongside excerpts from the film "Les Moa Tama" by director Erez Laufer.
