How to bake the wonderfully delicious chocolate pudding sheet cake
Line a baking sheet or large casserole dish with parchment paper or alternatively grease well with butter.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat or 160 °C circulating air.
For the batter
, mix butter, sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix all the ingredients with a hand mixer.
Add the batter and bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden.
This will be your cake base.
For the filling
, mix the pudding powder with a few tablespoons of milk.
Heat the remaining milk with the sugar in a small saucepan on the stove.
Add the mixed powder to the hot milk and bring to the boil while stirring constantly.
Then take the pot off the stove and let the pudding cool down a bit.
Tip:
Put cling film directly on the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
If necessary, remove the baking paper from the still warm cake base and put it back into the tin or tray without the paper.
Spread the warm pudding on the base, cover with the butter biscuits and let the cake cool.
For the ganache
, melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a hot water bath.
Also stir in the cream to create a homogeneous mass.
Pour the chocolate frosting over the sheet cake and smooth it out.
Chill the chocolate pudding sheet cake for a few hours.
