Most likely, if you visited Greece, you came across a pub - an addictive and yellowish spread that is very reminiscent of our chickpeas.
The traditional pava is made in Greece from a variety of legume grown on the island of Santorini and is known as Santorini Fava.
The yellow pea that can be easily obtained in the country, is very similar to the Greek legume.
Delicate taste and its biggest advantage - no need to soak it and cook as long as the chickpeas.
Simply cook the yellow peas for about 40 minutes until softened and the dish is ready.
Add to that the addition of sautéed mushrooms with garlic, onion and hot pepper, and you have a sumptuous Mediterranean wiping dish.
