(ANSA) - BUDAPEST, 02 MAY - In Hungary, on the occasion of the opening session of the new Parliament elected with the vote of 3 April, the Hungarian president Janos Ader has given the task of forming the government again to Viktor Orban.

Accepting the post, Orban explained that negotiations with the candidate ministers of his future government are still underway, and that the new executive "will present many changes, to respond to the challenges of wartime".

However, the Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjarto, one of the loyalists of the Fidesz leader, will certainly be confirmed.

The Parliament, which holds a two-thirds majority of Orban's party, will then vote for confidence in a few weeks, when the premier has presented the list of ministers.

The president of the Parliament, Laszlo Kover, in his inaugural address, said: "In Europe, today there are only two leaders openly for peace: Pope Francis and Viktor Orban".

The assembly session was not without controversy: the deputies of the Momentum party (liberals) left the courtroom after the oath, refusing any position in the new Parliament, in protest against the outcome of elections deemed "dishonest".

According to some exponents and analysts, having no possibility of getting alternative proposals to be accepted, the opposition should not provide "democracy alibis", watching Orban's "fake Parliament" game, but the socialists, democrats and centrists (Jobbik) have preferred to remain a classroom.

None of the opposition party leaders saw fit to resign after the April 3 defeat.

Only the unitary prime minister of the opposition, Peter Marki-Zay, has renounced his parliamentary mandate,

returning to be the mayor of his city, Hodmezovasarhely.
