Broken windows, vandalized shops and damaged equipment... This Monday morning, it was time to clean up several brands on Boulevard Voltaire.

In the capital, the May Day demonstration was tarnished by scenes of violence, thugs having invited themselves into the procession.

Dozens of bank or real estate agencies, insurance companies, but an organic store and a McDonald's restaurant were also vandalized.

In Laurent Da Costa's real estate agency, the windows were broken and equipment was destroyed.

The scene was filmed.

“I was shocked and surprised to see so much anger.

I thought to myself, what's the point of doing that?

“, testifies Laurent Da Costa, who tried this Monday to assess the damage in his sign and who hopes to return to “normal activity” as soon as possible.

On Boulevard Voltaire, the real estate agencies affected are numerous.

This is the case of Marc Cohen's agency.

"We worked yesterday from 5:30 p.m. until this morning to put everything in order," he testifies.

“It is outrageous and unacceptable.

A few meters away, the Charles and Rémy Immobilier agency no longer has a window.

But the team of the sign tried a note of humor with this message: “Your agency remains open.

Even more than usual”.

“What I find unfortunate is that it will discredit the whole event.

It's another band apart that broke everything.

And today we are only going to talk about the thugs and not about the demonstration, "laments Rémy Joachimsmann, the co-manager of the agency.
