This is the time that the Off White label has given itself to name a successor to Virgil Abloh, its founder who died at the age of 41 following cancer.
This new page has been entrusted to Ibrahim Kamara, editor-in-chief of Dazed magazine.
The 31-year-old creative is none other than a former close collaborator of the bubbling founder of Off White.
The two men knew each other well.
Their relationship was born three years ago via a few messages exchanged on Instagram.
She took a professional turn when Ibrahim Kamara became the official stylist of Virgil Abloh, for whom he created fashion shows and advertising campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Off White.
“An Ibrahim Kamara only comes around once in a generation,”
in September 2021. “Her work is a great example of how diversity can bring out the best in the fashion industry.”
Following his appointment, Ibrahim Kamara said on his Instagram account that he was "honored" to "be part of the team that will tell the rest of the story that (he) started to write for all of us".

The trajectory of Ibrahim Kamara is dazzling.
Born in Sierra Leone in 1990, he fled to Gambia after the outbreak of civil war.
He spent much of his childhood with an aunt and uncle before moving to London with his parents when he was 16.
The young man joined the benches of Central Saint Martins, from where he graduated in fashion communication.
He then cut his teeth as a stylist in the houses of Dior, Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney before working closely with Riccardo Tisci at Burberry and Virgil Abloh.
The singers Beyoncé, Rihanna or Madonna also call on her talents.
At the same time, he joined the iD
magazine
where he was promoted to fashion editor a few months later.
