The new Nintendo Switch Sports brings back an old problem of the Wii console.
Some players accidentally destroyed their TVs.
The Wii's motion controls were revolutionary in its day.
Instead of the keystrokes, the character reacted to the movements of the controller.
Nowadays this is still used in mobile games, VR games or the Nintendo Switch.
However, the latest Switch title, Nintendo Switch Sports, has brought an old Wii problem to the surface again: players accidentally throw the Joy-Cons out of their hands, smashing their screens.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a minigame collection.
Among other things, players can play bowling, football, tennis and volleyball in it.
As with the predecessor "Wii Sports" from 2006, you use the
integrated motion control
of the wireless gamepads to play.
Therefore, players usually stand directly in front of the television and make different and sometimes faster movements.
And as with the predecessor, this now also means that with “Switch Sports” people
slip their remote controls out of their hands in the middle of the game and end up on the television

Some Twitch streamers have already destroyed their televisions on "Switch Sports".
This also happened to the streamer "63man" during a round of tennis in the game.

Nintendo tries to prevent these accidents by including
wrist
straps with the Joy-Cons .
However, few players seem to use them regularly as most games don't really require it.
With titles like "Switch Sports", however, it makes more than sense, since otherwise the Joy-Con may end up on the television sooner or later.
