(ANSA) - NEW DELHI, 03 MAY - The visit of the Indian Premier to Europe will end this evening in France, where Modi will be received by President Macron.
Just today the French company Naval Group announced the withdrawal from the P-75 India (P-75I) project, for the construction in India of six conventional submarines, commissioned by the Indian Navy.
The group, one of the five international players who responded to the Delhi offer, has made it known that it is no longer able to comply with the terms of the agreement.
The Naval Group, writes the newspaper The Indian Express, had just completed the first part of the order signed in 2005 and contributed to the construction of six submarines, in partnership with the Mumbai shipyard Mazagon Dockyard Shipbuilding Limited (MDL);
four of the submarines have already been delivered to the Indian Navy.
