Israeli police have identified two Palestinians suspected of being responsible for last night's terrorist attack in Elad in which 3 Israelis died and 4 others injured. They are Asad Alrafaani (19 years old) and Sabhi abu Shakir (20), both from the village of Rumana near Jenin in the north of the West Bank.

The security forces launched a manhunt throughout the area to locate them and asked the population to report possible information.

The attackers - according to the police reconstruction - apparently armed with both an ax (or a machete) and firearms, targeted people who were walking around at the end of the day in two different places, one of which is near the Elad Amphitheater Park.

Then they fled.

The media said the three victims were all in their forties;

of the four injured in the attack, two are hospitalized at the Sheba hospital in Tel Aviv in serious condition.

Defense Minister Benni Gantz and Army Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi immediately called a meeting and took stock of the situation with the security forces.

Palestinian President Abu Mazen condemned last night's attention in which 3 Israelis were killed and 4 injured. This was reported by the Wafa news agency.

"The killing of Israeli and Palestinian civilians - said Abu Mazen - only increases the escalation at a time when we are all striving to achieve stability and prevent the escalation itself".

"Only a lasting, comprehensive and just peace - he concluded - is the correct way to guarantee security and stability to the two peoples and to the region".
