A temporary infected area, with stringent measures, and an area of attention: an ordinance of the Lazio Region provides for it to contain and combat swine fever.
In this 'red zone' we will provide for enhanced surveillance of wild boars, sampling and analysis of any carcasses and their safe disposal.
The area will be indicated by signs and it will be forbidden to feed animals, have picnics, organize events.
The ordinance was passed
after the discovery of a case of swine fever in the Insugherata park
.
The municipality will enclose the waste bins, in order to prevent access to wild boars.
Controls will also be activated on pig and animal farms that fall within or are adjacent to the area.
Outside the provisional infected zone, a "zone of attention" is identified.
The ordinance also provides for the closure of the access gates to the infected area from the north side.
