"Game of Thrones" returns with an epic trailer: "House of the Dragon" is so dark

The wait is almost over, but was it worth it?
Our trip back into the "Game of Thrones" cosmos is going to be dark, as the trailer for "House of the Dragon" shows.
On May 20, 2019, an era came to an end.
The last episode of the 8th season of "Game of Thrones" divided the fan base of the fantasy series like the entire last season and yet a void remained.
Three years later, the cult series is now being continued with
"House of the Dragon"
, but there will be no reunion with Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen or Tyrion Lannister.

House of the Dragon: Fans expect bloody battles
Instead of the 9th "Game of Thrones" season, the
spin-off series "House of the Dragon"
is coming this year .
In it we experience the Targaryens
200 years before the events of "Game of Thrones"
and it is told how it came about that the mighty race was pushed off the Iron Throne.
We remember: Daenerys Targaryen had to fight her way back to Westeros from exile in Essos under constant threat in "Game of Thrones" in order to remount the Iron Throne - which failed spectacularly...
So why did the other royal houses Arryn, Baratheon, Greyjoy, Lannister, Martell, Stark, Tully join forces against the Targaryens?
In the new trailer, fans can now see that dark times were ahead of "Robert's Rebellion".
In
the Dance of the Dragons, Rhaenyra and Aegon II Targaryen fought each other
for supremacy in Westeros in a long and bloody civil war that also claimed the family's famous dragons.
