Canal+ could set foot in Hollywood by investing in the capital of Starz.
Owned by the independent studio Lionsgate, this American audiovisual group owns about fifteen pay TV channels in the United States and especially the international streaming platform StarzPlay.
Starz, which invests 3 billion dollars in content, is at the origin of franchises such as
Power

Outlander
or
Blindspotting
and broadcasts series acclaimed by critics such as
Normal People
or
Gangs of London.
According to the
Financial Times
and
Les Echos
, the subsidiary of Vivendi would have started discussions with Lionsgate, in order to take a minority stake at first, but with the idea of eventually taking control of the company.
