A dance teacher from Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia abused four of his students, sometimes repeatedly.
The Mönchengladbach district court sees this as proven - and sentenced the 38-year-old to two years and four months in prison for sexual abuse of young people, sexual abuse of children in 36 cases and possession of child pornography.
The accused, according to WDR a married father, had already admitted the allegations in the process.
As the court announced, a suspension of probation is no longer possible because of the amount of the penalty.
However, the judgment is not yet final.
According to WDR, the abuse occurred between 2015 and 2020. The victims were between 12 and 15 years old at the time.
The man is also said to have harassed three other of his students.
The public prosecutor had asked for two and a half years in prison for the 38-year-old, the defense pleaded for a sentence of two years.
