Collection of signatures and legal action against the Capitol to block the construction of the waste-to-energy plant in Rome.
These are the two initiatives launched by M5S Campidoglio and by Lista Civica Raggi.
"Our 'no' to the incinerator is clear and irreversible. We started yesterday a collection of signatures that will stop in Santa Palomba. We are then studying a legal action against the Capitol aimed at blocking the construction of the 600 thousand ton incinerator ", the Capitoline groups M5S and LcR declare in a joint note.
"We reiterate the absolute need for a process of ecological transition and circular economy for our city - explain the two council groups - The M5S and the Virginia Raggi Civic List, Ecology and Innovation will fight in every place to protect the right to health of the Romans and the healthiness of the environment in which we live ".
