Priyanka Chopra has only been a mother for a few weeks.
But the Indian actress used her first Mother's Day directly for an emotional message.
However, this mainly referred to the tough first weeks of daughter Malti Marie's life.
"We can't help but look back on the past few months this Mother's Day and the rollercoaster we've been on," Chopra wrote on Instagram, posting the first picture of her daughter.
After more than 100 days in the ICU, "our little girl is finally home," Chopra wrote.
A surrogate mother had helped Chopra and husband Nick Jonas to have a happy baby.
The difficult first few weeks made it clear to her that every family's path is "unique".
The 39-year-old also thanked the hospital staff who helped the baby through the difficult time.
"Our next chapter begins now and our baby is really badass," Chopra continued.

Chopra and Jonas, who rose to fame as a member of the boy band Jonas Brothers, have been married since 2018.
The singer shared his wife's Instagram post on his own page and paid tribute to her new role as a mother: "You inspire me every day," wrote Jonas.
Chopra is already an "incredible mother."
