The search for love and a meaningful relationship causes many to be captivated by the program "Wedding at First Sight", or as it has recorded "Wedding".
Tonight (Monday) a new season will begin, and we will get to know new brides and grooms who are willing to take a risk on the way to finding love.
The promos promise it's a "different" season, maybe they mean the couple of men who are going to marry each other, or the first bride to appear in the promos?
For the first time in "Wedding at First Sight" a size 44 bride was cast, and the promo for the show celebrates her weight, including documentation of her eating chocolate balls.

Is it really that unusual that a 44-year-old girl is looking for love?
Is it so weird that a 44 year old girl finds love and gets married?
I'll tell you a secret - it's not weird at all.
Outside of the world of television, which tries to convey to us a very specific beauty ideal as true, there is the real world, where there are women and men of various sizes, who fall in love, go out on dates, have sex, get excited, disappointed, get married and divorce.
Some are women in size 36 and some are men with dice in the abdomen, some in size 50 and some with belly and baldness.

True, we should be happy that after quite a few seasons and repeated reviews, there is finally a variety in casting, but we really should not be happy that this bride is branded as different.
Thinness does not guarantee happiness, nor does it guarantee a wedding, and this will be proven by all the participants of previous seasons who entered the series as single men and women and usually came out in the same situation.
The thinness may have opened the door for them, but did not always leave them inside.
We are all, in different sizes and weights, worthy of love.
The longing for a relationship exists in men and women in all sizes and also comes true in people in different sizes, so how is it that on TV we are still only trying to market couples with a particular beauty ideal?

In an age of social networking, where we are truly exposed to the whole range of humanity and not just to what the captains of the commercial channels want us to be exposed to, it can no longer work.
We are smarter and know that there is no one beauty, because beauty comes in a variety of sizes, colors, genders and weights.
The program's new promo has already managed to stir up a storm on the net.
One surfer wrote an accurate response: "Really annoying! Just when they showed the promo, my eight-year-old son asked me 'why was it important for him to say size 44?'
"I told him that some people think being 44 is different, and he asked straight back, 'What does it matter if you're looking for love?'
I wholeheartedly hope that later on he will not have to watch the weight preoccupation of Maayan, the bride in question, and that the irrelevant discourse will remain in the promo segment only.
I hope they will present her as the person she is and not reduce her to the size of her pants.
Love yourself regardless of the size of your pants, this is not what should define you, and certainly it is not what should manage you, you deserve love as you are now.
