(ANSA) - BEIJING, MAY 10 - The Hong Kong Stock Exchange opens the session with a thud in the wake of the Nasdaq losses of over 4%: the Hang Seng index drops 3.51% in the early stages, slipping to 19,300.68 points , while the Hong Kong Tech Index lost 5.93%, to 3,796.93.
The Chinese stock exchanges open the session in negative territory following the new anti-Covid squeeze decided in Shanghai and Beijing to contain the Omicron variant, relaunching the fears on economic growth: the Shanghai Composite Index in the early stages was 1.46%, at 2,960.15 points, while that of Shenzhen loses 1.14%, slipping to 1,844.58.
