The Board of Regulations of Palazzo Madama gave a favorable opinion on
the dissolution of the Foreign Affairs Commission chaired by Vito Petrocelli
.
In recent days, 20 members of the commission out of 22 (Petrocelli himself and Emanuele Dessì of Cal remained in office) have resigned and have not been replaced.
For this reason it was decided, in the conference of group leaders, to ask the Executive for an opinion.
It is now up to the President of the Senate to evaluate how to proceed.
"The President of the Senate is required, in order to ensure the regular conduct of parliamentary work, to provide for the necessary formalities for the renewal of the body in analogy with Article 21, paragraph 7 of the regulation".
This is what we read in the opinion unanimously given by the Board for the regulation of the Senate on the Petrocelli case.
