Many public transport users are looking forward to it: From June, travelers will be traveling by bus and train for 9 euros per month - but there are exceptions.

Or to Prague?
The anticipation of the 9-euro train ticket is great.
But the train flat rate does not work for all means of transport.
Basically, the 9-euro ticket is valid for buses, underground, S-Bahn and trams in Germany.
With a few exceptions, regional transport is also fully available.
But what applies to ferries, tourist lines, museum trips and trips abroad?
9 euro ticket for long-distance travel?
It's clear: the ticket doesn't take its holder everywhere.
And not every means of transport is included.
A normal ticket can still be purchased for long-distance transport.
This includes trains coming from and going to foreign countries.
Bella Italia for 9 euros doesn't work.
9-Euro ticket valid in Flixbus, Fernbus & Co?
In addition to regional transport and Deutsche Bahn, there are private transport providers.
However, since Flixbus, long-distance coaches and smaller private bus companies are not part of the public transport system, the 9-euro ticket is not valid for private companies.

9 euro ticket for museum and steam train rides?

9 euro ticket also for ferries?
Some ferries are part of local public transport and belong to the local transport association.
Others don't.
In order not to be punished as a stowaway on a ferry, it is worth inquiring in advance whether the 9-euro ticket is valid for the respective route.
On March 24, the federal government agreed on a so-called relief package in view of the rising energy prices.
In addition to the 9-euro ticket, it also includes a 300-euro energy price flat rate, a fuel discount and a children's bonus.
