The 37-year-old Romanian Istvan Kovacs, international since 2010, is the referee chosen today in Vienna by the UEFA referees commission for the final of the Rome-Feyenoord Conference League on 25th of this month in Tirana.
The line collaborators Marinescu and Artene are also Romanians, while the fourth official will be the Swiss Scharer.
In the Var the German Marco Fritz, assisted by compatriots Dingert and Dankert as assistants.
For Kovacs it will be the first final of a European club competition.
This season he has already refereed Roma in the Conference League last November 25th in the match against Zorya Luhansk.
Slovenian Slavko Vincic has been appointed for the Europa League final on 18 May in Seville between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers Glasgow, assisted by his fellow countrymen Klancnik and Kovacic.
