End of the mandatory mask everywhere… or almost.
From Monday May 16, it will no longer be compulsory to have your face protected on the train, the metro, and all public transport, Olivier Véran announced this Wednesday after the Council of Ministers.
The mask will remain compulsory only in health centers.
“On Friday, epidemiologists rather approved such relief.
"It would not be a problem for me to put an end to the compulsory wearing of masks in transport, provided that we insist on education and responsibility", indicated for example Mircea T. Sofonea, lecturer at the University of Montpelier.
The compulsory wearing of the mask will remain “recommended”, insisted for his part Olivier Véran.
