For the little lamb, the start in life is anything but nice.
Because shortly after the birth Beau is rejected by her mother.

Fortunately, the dog Max notices the lonely baby sheep and takes care of him.

Dog raises lamb - the two are an inseparable team
The clip shows how Max tentatively sniffs and licks little Beau through a gate.
According to Akers, the bitch knows within seconds that the lamb is her baby.
From that day on, the two dissimilar four-legged friends are inseparable.
Dog Max lovingly takes care of the rejected lamb, protects it, cleans it and plays with it - and above all gives Beau the love her own mother denied her.
Over time, Beau learns some of her dog mom's characteristics and even joins in fetching a stick.
The two enjoy the time together and spend every minute together.
Dog Max takes care of Beau until her adoptive daughter is big enough to live in the herd of sheep with her fellow dogs.
