(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, MAY 11 - Preliminary investigations conducted by the army "indicate that there has been no direct fire" from the Israeli side "at the journalist, even though the investigations are underway".
Defense Minister Benny Gantz said this, adding that "on the other side there were photos of indiscriminate shootings by Palestinian terrorists, which most likely hit the journalist".
Gantz then said that Israel will communicate its details on the investigation "in a clear and transparent manner to American friends".
The minister added that he had offered the Palestinian leadership "a joint investigation and to share data".
