(ANSA) - PARMA, MAY 11 - The attempts to mend, barring the last-minute shocking surprises, have failed: in Parma the center-right will present itself divided in the next municipal elections.
Lega and Forza Italia, together with other realities of the center-right, support Pietro Vignali, a former mayor who was arrested during his mandate.
The rift, certainly unleashed by divisions at the national level, was consumed above all in his name.
Fratelli d'Italia has thus decided to focus on Priamo Bocchi: "you cannot go on with the rear-view mirror", he said.
The goal is to overtake Vignali and aim for a runoff with Michele Guerra as candidate of the center-left, dolphin of the outgoing Federico Pizzarotti.
To complicate matters further there is the 'third way' of Civiltà Parmigiana, the civic movement which, in alliance with the center-right, led to the election first of Ubaldi, then of Vignali himself.
He will be at the starting line in support of DarioCosti, together with Action.
