West Bank: the UN demands an investigation into the reporter

(ANSA) - GENEVA, 11 MAY - The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights says it is "shocked" by the death of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, killed today in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank and calls for an independent investigation into the circumstances of the his death.

"Our services are on the ground to verify the facts", underlines the tweet, asking for "an end to impunity" and "an independent and transparent investigation into her murder".
